Correspondence with Anadarko, regarding cooperation with Kosmos Energy
Anadarko (ex-Kerr-McGee) cooperates with Kosmos Energy. But does this cooperation cover works on occupied Western Sahara? WSRW awaits response.

The mail below was sent by the Western Sahara Resource Watch to Anadarko (publicaffairs@anadarko.com) on 1 December 2010. The same mail was again sent on 28 June 2011 and on 21 August 2011.
The request was finally answered in February 2012.
Dear Sirs,
During the years 2002-2006, The Norwegian Support Committee for Western Sahara followed the activities of Kerr-McGee in Western Sahara closely.
As you probably know, exploring for oil in the territory is in violation of international law, as described by the 2002 UN Legal Opinion on the Kerr-McGee agreement with Morocco.
The block previously controlled by Kerr-McGee in Western Sahara, the Boujdour block, is today controlled by Kosmos Energy.
In a Kosmos report from April 2008, it is stated that Kosmos has a “joint development team with Anadarko” - without specifying which blocks or projects the development team is cooperating on. http://www.wsrw.org/files/pdf/kosmos_presentation_28apr2008.pdf

Does Anadarko in any way cooperate with Kosmos Energy relating to the Boujdour block offshore Western Sahara?
