Chilean shipping company transported phosphates from Western Sahara

The Chilean owned vessel Sibulk Prosperity few weeks ago arrived US with conflict minerals from occupied Western Sahara.

The vessel Sibulk Prosperity (IMO 9426792), arrived New Orleans, USA, on 30 November 2010, containing phosphate rock from occupied Western Sahara. 

The vessel was previously part of the Norwegian firm Eitzen Bulk Shipping A/S, part of the Norwegian-Danish shipping group Camillo-Eitzen. On 17 June 2010, however, the company Eitzen Bulk Shipping A/S was acquired by the Chilean firm Navieras Ultragas Ltda. Read statement form Camillo-Eitzen group regarding the sales

On 23 August 2010, Eitzen Bulk Shipping announced it would change its name to U-SEA Bulk Shipping A/S.

As of mid December 2010, the vessel still appeared on the fleet list of the Danish-Norwegian shipping firm Camillo-Eitzen. 

The shipment was done to the US importer PotashCorp.
