A group of Spanish and Saharawi protesters yesterday demonstrated against the Canary imports of sand from occupied Western Sahara in the harbour of Santa Cruz, Tenerife.

Tenerife (Canary Isles), Oct 6, 2011 (SPS) - At least 18 Saharawi activists and Spanish sympathizers staged Wednesday in a mass protest in the waters of the fishing dock at the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife to protest the theft of Saharawi sand being unloaded from occupied El Aaiun and stored in facilities of the port of Santa Cruz, Tenerife.
