PCS on 12th of September 2008 received the vessel Voge West, fully loaded with phosphate from Western Sahara. She spent 229 hours in the Port of South Louisiana, from 10th of September, until 19th of September.
Trade with such phosphates is highly unethical and in violation of international law. PCS has historically been the most important customer of phosphates from the Moroccan government's illegal phosphate production in occupied Western Sahara. The Sahrawi people of Western Sahara do not profit from the trade.
The Liberian flagged vessel is owned by the German shipping company Vogemann.
